Stay Well: the impact of the project and living with a long term health condition
The project developed a 15 minute long DVD as a peer education tool for young people living with a long term health condition (LTC). It can also be used by the NHS or Education to inform professionals who will be working with children and young people with LTC’s, with a focus on the social and emotional impacts of daily life.
The DVD includes interviews with seven young people, a specialist nurse, a parent and the project officer. The DVD and interviews were created, developed and filmed by trained peer supporters, aged 11-18, who took part in the Stay Well project from 2011-2012.
Please contact the ASCS office to request a copy of the DVD for use with your child, patient, or student or to share with a group of professionals as a learning opportunity.
